The Community Assessment Team (CAT) is a
collaboration between SAY San Diego and the San Diego Probation
Department. In the CAT program, a team
of SAY San Diego counselors and family support workers partner with probation
officers to help youth ages 5-18 who are at-risk of criminal activity in
Central San Diego or who are already on probation and need help to get on a
better path.
To accomplish this, the program provides home based,
family-focused services to youth and their families. Youth can be referred to the program by community
sources (such as schools, police, etc.) and by their own families.
