Our Kids Count

Healthy Start Military Family Cluster provides Our Kids Count which is a developmental curriculum used with children ages 0-5.  OKC is offered in classroom form at the HSMFC center 6 times a year for children that are anticipating entering kindergarten in the fall.  OKC is a parent/child interactive class that is offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for an hour and a half.  Childcare is provided for younger siblings.  OKC is also offered in the home for families that can not make it to the HSMFC center.  The in home services provided are age appropriate parent/child interactive activities and PAT (Parents as Teachers) certified services.  

Eligibility:  OKC is provided for active duty military families that have children aged 0-5.  Services are provided at the HSMFC center and in-home only in the North Central Region.
