Healthy Start Military Family Cluster (HSMFC) is a collaborative effort between the schools, US Navy, and public and private agencies to assist military families in Chesterton, The Villages at NTC, Serra Mesa, Gateway Village, and Murphy Canyon Military Family Housing. The mission of our Military Family Cluster is to provide confidential, safe, coordianted services that will lead to improved developmental, academic and social outcomes for children and a better quality of life for their families.
Home visiting services including developmental assessments are available to military families living in the North Central region of San Diego, including the Marine Corps Air Station at Miramar. Community parent-child interactive activities (such as playgroups, and family story times) and information and referral services are available to all military personnel and their families.
Eligibility:
All branches of active duty, reserve military, and National Guard, as well as families of these servicemen, regardless of rank. Information and referral services available to separated and/or retired military personnel and their families..
SAY San Diego serves as the fiscal and administrative agent for this
collaborative effort.
